Job Corps offer job training for 16- to 24-year-olds!

I wanted to make you aware that the federal government is currently accepting applications from teens and young adults for the Job Corps training program.

The Job Corps is a free program which can provide help for those looking to earn a GED, or high school equivalent degree, and provide hands-on training in more than 100 career fields such as construction, finance and health care.

The program is based on income and is meant to assist those who may not have the necessary qualifications for a good career-oriented position.

To see if you qualify, download this eligibility sheet.

Low-income participants may also be eligible for room and board and low-cost health insurance.

To learn more about the program, call 1-800-733-JOBS, or check out the website atwww.recruiting.jobcorps.gov.

Please contact my office if you need assistance regarding this program or for any state government issues you may face.
